Recallstack is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build dependable backend systems for AI and robotics products. You will design APIs, data workflows, and integrations that support scalable, secure product delivery in a hybrid engineering environment.
Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and scale backend services for AI and robotics products.
Design and operate RESTful APIs, data workflows, and third-party integrations.
Develop reliable data models and database-backed services for production workloads.
Improve service performance, observability, security, and fault tolerance.
Write automated tests and participate in code reviews to maintain engineering quality.
Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and incident-resolution practices.
Document backend systems, APIs, and operational processes.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver reliable features.
Requirements
5+ years of professional backend engineering experience in production environments.
Strong proficiency in Python or Node.js for backend service development.
Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and service integrations.
Solid SQL, database modelling, and query-performance skills.
Experience with cloud services and containerised deployments using Docker.
Experience writing automated tests for backend services.
Strong Git-based collaboration and code review practices.
Ability to design and troubleshoot distributed systems with reliability and security in mind.
